She is still having trouble maintaining her temperature when not under the heater so we only get to hold her for small intervals during her feedings usually. The doctors say this will improve as she gets closer to term. Same goes for the oral feedings. They don't want us to try that again too soon because the risk of aspiration if she isn't quite ready. We hate to see that tube in her nose but we are trying to be patient and wait for her cues.
Thank you again for all the continued prayers and messages of encouragement. We have been abundantly blessed by both of our families coming down to see Elise, play with Emma and cook us amazing meals. We pray daily for God to bless each person who is holding Elise up in prayer and taking time to help us. Thank you!

Monica, I just wanted to let you know that I have been following your posts and praying for you, little Elise and your family each time I read an update. I hope she continues to do even better than expected and that she truly is a blessing to your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kacie. She has been a tremendous blessing already!
