Today Elise got some exercise. Physical therapy came by to give us instructions on muscle stretches to work on with her each day. She also experienced the swing for the first time today.

We have received gorgeous flowers from my office staff, our church family and Ossip. They don't allow flowers in the nicu due to babies with allergies, so we admire them at home. Thank you all so much!
Here is a picture of some Elise/daddy snuggles. My girls are blessed with the most incredible dad ever.

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude that it moves me to tears. Everyone of you who are praying for us, each message, call or text of encouragement from friends and family, and numerous gestures of kindness for our family since Elise has been born. My mother-in-law has spent countless days helping us with cooking and cleaning, taking care of our dog Bella and being with Emma. My father-in-law helped Andy around the house. My sisters have spent time cooking for us and doing fun outings with Emma- sacrificing time with their own families to help ours. My dad and Sherry came to cook us dinner, my dad got our yard and garden into shape, and Sherry helped clean our home. Our pastor and wife- the Hudsons- came to pray over Elise at the hospital today and just before I delivered her. Mine and Andy's friends have come to visit and support us. We really are so grateful for the generosity everyone has shown us and feel like we can't thank you all enough. We are incredibly fortunate to have such love and support all around us.
Monica - I've had you all in my payers since you posted the news about Elise during your pregnancy. I am happy that she arrived so strong and with such fight in her. I'm glad you have a great support system surrounding you and that you are leaning on your faith to carry you through. I will keep praying for you as you face each new day. Elise is beautiful!!
